Infrastructure ofSarswati Vidya Mandir High School

In 1988, a group of dedicated social workers, including Sh. Ram Swaroop Sharma, Sh. Sansar Chand, Sh. Ashwani Sood, Sh. Pahar Singh, Sh. Tilak Behl, Sh. Kanshi Ram, and other members, came together with a shared vision to establish a Saraswati Vidya Mandir in Balakrupi. Initially, they started the school in a rented space on Banai road.

Their commitment and perseverance led them to approach Himachal Shiksha in 1989 to seek permission for the school's establishment in Balakrupi. Through their relentless efforts, they succeeded, and in 1988, the institution commenced its journey with a Nursery class. The school steadily grew and was upgraded to the primary standard in 1993, and further upgraded to the middle standard in 1996.

In 1996, a prominent social worker, Col. Ganga Ram Jamwal, was appointed as the Chairman of the School Committee. Under the guidance and dedication of Sh. Jamwal ji, the institution was efficiently managed and operated. Thanks to his efforts and the collective work of the members, the school's standards continued to rise, leading to its upgradation to the Matric level in 1999.
